The Taj Mahal has recently been refurbished/extended and is comfortable and well appointed. We have found the Indian cuisine here to be as good as anywhere we have tried and better than most. The menu is comprehensive and includes other styles of Far Eastern cooking, such as Ceylonese and Malayan. The food is fresh prepared so does take a little time to arrive at your table. If you are in a tearing rush, then you would certainly be served quicker at MacDonalds! The staff are always friendly and helpful and they’ve got some great TripAdviser reviews. The restaurant is only a short taxi drive away (or walk if you’re feeling energetic), enabling you to enjoy some wine or a few pints of delicious Cobra or Kingfisher Indian lagers – yum! You’re best to book in the season.
The Moss Family 16th February 2008; “We had a lovely takeaway from the Taj Mahal.”
The Rees Family June 2011; “Excellent takeaway from the Taj Mahal Restaurant”.
The Methley Family August 2011; “Excellent curry, one of the best we’ve had.”
Directions; Turn left out of the end of the drive. Go to the end of St Issells Avenue and turn right at the Tee junction. Continue under the railway bridge, to the traffic island (Macdonalds is on your left). Go straight on at the island (3rd exit) up Merlins hill. Continue straight on at the next island (2nd exit). The Taj Mahal is opposite the Police Station.
